At Happy Kids, our services cover three main areas: 
These range from 1-on-1 to smaller- and larger-group activities

Homework, reading and writing clubs

Girls confidently tackle their homework assignments in a cosy, supportive setting

SATS and Maths clubs

Girls receive additional support to prepare for their SATS exams

Tutoring programmes

Girls learn problem-solving ability by finding their voice, sharing thoughts and ideas

Art and Psychotherapy

Girls learn to focus and regulate, nurturing their skills with creative tools

Mentoring

Girls build a rapport with a mentor, developing new coping abilities, social and communication skills

Trips

Girls discover, laugh together, and show great team spirit

Holiday Playschemes

Girls delightfully attend our playscheme, filling hours of laughter, play, and camaraderie

Singing and music

Girls learn self-expression, develop patience, and skills to sing in a group

Drama and dance

Girls find rhythm, dance to the beat with confidence and grace

Exercise and aerobics

Girls increase physical activity and healthy lifestyle skills

Sports

Girls enjoy engaging in netball, badminton, rounders and other popular sports

Gardening

Girls discover the joy of nature while tending a range of plants

Arts and crafts

Girls develop fine and gross motor skills, use creativity and hands-on skills to make pottery, crafts, sew, and hook rugs

Counselling/ Mentoring

Talking sessions improve girls' integration and independence

Art and Play

Targeted art and play sessions stimulate girls' thinking, share and feel safer

Occupational

OT therapy transforms girls' abilities with physical, mental, and cognitive challenges

Speech and Language

SLT therapy improves girls' speech clarity, comprehension, communication and social integration

Social skills

Focused initiatives helping girls improve their communication skills, conflict management, and friendship-building

Lego Therapy

Through collaborative play, intervention designed to help girls develop social communication, turn-taking, and problem-solving skills

Treasure Hunts

Girls build their inner confidence to lead, resilience and ambitions

The process

Upon registering your interest, here’s what happens

Intake

Our coordinator takes contact details and social history, and we get back to you if we think we’re a good fit for your daughter.

Application

Fill out our application and provide documentation so we can get to know your daughter better

Interview

Your daughter meets our director and the lead social worker for a more in-depth skill assessment

Observation

We observe your daughter’s classroom function in her current school placement. If we think your daughter can be successful here, acceptance is a few days away.

Acceptance

Your daughter will receive her acceptance pack, with details of program activities and days of attendance.

Staff Leadership

Ongoing staff development workshops ensure staff are adept at supporting current needs

Staff observation to identify struggles or signs of displeasure in a child

Training sessions including: Safeguarding, Health&Safety, Risk management for all staff and volunteers

Specialist staff and therapists are professionally supervised to ensure the best outcomes for girls

Updating girls' teachers/ schools of progression and development

Targeted SMART goals are set for every girl attending

Monitoring tools: Stirling Children’s Wellbeing Scale and Child Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale.

Staff meetings and brunches are held to engage them with incentives and recognition for their effort
