Why Happy Kids

With nearly two decades of service delivery, we have a strong track record of success, yet we continually evolve in response to steady improvement and changing needs.

Happy Kids recognises that every girl is a sum of many parts. We refer girls to other projects within our organisation, so that they can access alternative support.

Often, a girl attending one of our clubs will be encouraged to take advantage of another of our services, as appropriate.

And when we can’t meet her every need, we’ll refer her elsewhere to maximise her potential..

We continue to expand our services to meet every need.

109 graduates have returned to Happy Kids as youth volunteers and then as experienced staff.

Many have referred others to our services, and many are sending their own girls, making them second-generation beneficiaries.

Demand keeps growing, doubling the need.

Many of our supporters have repeatedly funded our organisation, proving our credibility and compliance.

‘I attended Happy Kids programmes, and now I am ready to give back to others the experience that I enjoyed’.

Mina's Story

At 8 years old, Mina struggled to make friends. She often picked fights, felt rejected by her peers, and found everyday social interactions challenging. After seeing an advert in a local circular, her mum enrolled her in Happy Kids’ Social Skills Club — a decision that proved life-changing.

After just six sessions, Mina's mum noticed a real difference. Mina was responding to social situations more appropriately, the fighting had stopped, and she was enjoying positive interactions in the playground and beyond. By the end of the programme, she had made remarkable progress.

Through role-play, social stories, and interactive games, Mina learned to recognise social cues, express her thoughts and feelings more effectively, manage her emotions, and build healthy friendships. As her confidence and self-awareness grew, she became more comfortable around others, her behaviour at school improved, and she began participating happily in group activities with her peers.
